1. Zlatni Rat

Hailed as the most beautiful beach in Croatia and one of the best in Europe, Zlatni Rat is one of the best places to visit in Brac. This beach has a small pebbled shore which makes it easier to walk on and relatively more comfortable for sunbathing.
Sparkling blue-green waters surround Zlatni Rat, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. The beach stretches from Brac to Hvar channel creating a point where two beaches meet together.

2. Olive Oil Museum

One of the unique things to see in Brac is the Olive Oil Museum. It is located in the Skrip area, in a building that housed an olive oil mill. It has been open to the public since 2014 and visitors can take guided tours to know more about the olive oil industry in Brac.
The mill has been around since the 1860s and the family that owns it allows visitors to see it as well as the other tools used in making olive oil, including demos on how it all works. You can also buy olive oils, vinegar, jams and more after the museum tour.

3. Vidova Gora Lookout

For the best views over the island and its surrounding areas, one of the best things to do in Brac is to head onto the Vidova Gora lookout. This is the highest point not only in Brac but in all of the Islands in the Adriatic Sea. The summit is about 778 meters high, which can be accessed by a moderate hike or by car.
From the Vidava Gora, you have the best views of Zlanti Rat beach all the way to nearby Hvar, the crystalline waters of the Adriatic and on a clear day, you can even see Italy.
4. Supetar

If you want to do something else near the water aside from swimming or sunbathing, check out Supetar. It is where the ferries from Split or Makarska dock and a great place to people watch.
Grab some local food from one of the restaurants or cafes, or check out the shops. You can also roam around the marina or try some water activities.
5. Hermitage Sites

The southern coast of Brac has several hermitage sites, especially between Bol and Blaca. These uninhabited areas are a perfect spot for monks and priests for meditation, penance, prayer, and fasting.
Two of the most popular hermitage sites in this area are the Zmajeva Spilja (Dragon’s Cave) and Pustinja Blaca (Blaca Hermitage). Zmajeva Spilja is the only Brac hermitage that’s located in a cave, known for its reliefs and dragons carved into stones.
Pustinja Blaca meanwhile, is perched on a steep hill. It is home to a museum and library of 11,000 books as well as the biggest telescope in Croatia.

6. Check Out the Stonemason School

Considered as one of Brac’s attractions is its Stonemason School, which has been around since 1909. A visit here is an opportunity to really get to know the kind of work and the many details that go into stonemasonry.
Brac is known for its stonemasonry and it is so good that some of it are in the White House. Students go to this school for 3 to 4 years and some of their pieces take multiple students a number of years to make.
7. Sino Winery
Located by the waterfront, Brac’s Sino Winery is the ideal place to taste test some uniquely Brac wine while enjoying views of the Adriatic. Situated along the shores of Bol area, you can sit by a table or the stone steps while sipping wine, as you marvel at luxury yachts or watch the waves.
One of the best activities to do in Brac, make sure you try a glass of white or red and pair them with some delicious dish platters that use Brac’s olive oil.
You can also tour the showroom to buy a bottle or two or see the winemaking process.
8. Go on a Food Tour in Brac
After you’ve toured the Olive Oil Museum and tried Brac’s wine, then you should sample their food as well.
Brac offers food tours to visitors where you get a trip to some of the best sites on the island as well as enjoy a three-course meal that features dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
These ingredients, of course, may include lamb meat, sheep cheese, mandarins, olive oil, and wine.
9. Visit Skrip

Skrip dates back to over 300 years and where Brac’s oldest settlement was. A definite point of interest in Brac, Skrip is completely different from the other towns on the island.
Located a bit inland instead of by the coast, Skrip is a pretty laid back town. There’s no flurry of activity, just old buildings and a few museums about the town and island’s history.
This is an ideal place to visit if you want to enjoy a relaxing stroll and get away from the hustle of most towns in Brac.
10. Wander Around Bol

Bol is where Zlatni Rat beach is located, and another interesting town to visit in Brac. This is also where you can hike up to the Vidova Gora lookout point, or visit the Blanca Monastery.
The lovely Sino Winery is also located in Bol, as well as many restaurants and shops lining the beach promenade to Zlatni Rat. It is an amazing place to wander around in as well as a great starting point when visiting other Brac attractions.
